Himali A. Kothari, CAIA

Himali A Kothari is the Founder of Aquamarine Value, LLC.

Ms. Kothari’s background is in asset management and hedge funds within both asset managers and asset owners. She has worked in the major global investment hubs of: Singapore, New York, London and Boston. Her experience is primarily in quantitative & fundamental research and analysis of equities across all geographic markets and different capital market cycles which produced positive alpha for the funds. She also has global macro experience.

Prior to founding Aquamarine Value in 2016, Ms. Kothari was Associate Director at CAMRI (Centre of Asset Management Research & Investments) at National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School for five years from 2011-2016, where she launched and executed Singapore’s First Student Managed Fund (SMF) and was appointed CRO and COO of the SMF. At the same time she was tasked with running the centre’s day –to day operations including marketing, investor relations, and business development . From 2007-2010, Ms. Kothari was in NY, where she worked as Jr. Portfolio Manager at a macro fund (now Galtere) and was a consultant at various long-short hedge funds in NY and London. She started her career at John Hancock Funds (now ManuLife) as an international equity analyst. She received a Bachelors of Science (BS) in Finance and a Minor in Economics from Northeastern University.
